Welcome to the Friends Section of the website
The Friends is a registered charity whose aim is to raise money to support the educational and social activities of Appleton CofE Primary School, Oxon.
We focus our efforts on helping provide funding for activities and resources outside of the core curriculum.
Latest News
Events Confirmed for the next school year
At the friends meeting held on the 4th October the events for the academic year 2011/12 we put down in stone.
This year will see an adveturist group of parents taking on a phyiscal challenge (much like the 3 peaks of 2 years ago) in order to raise funds for the school and 1 other local charity.
It will also see the inaugral Appleton May Ball, a social event of great proportions for all in the village to enjoy with live music and good food the black tie event should be a village event to remember.
We will also be organising some of are traditional events such as the Christmas Shopping event and the Childrens Craft Fayre. Not forgetting the ever popular events such as Kids Discos, Family Camp night, The Summer Fete and a Musical extravagansa from the school choir.
Other Fundraisers will include, A 100 club, Tea Towels/Shopping Bags and Bag2School.
All in all we have a busy year ahead and help from all parents will be much appreciated.
